Electric Gate systems are a great deterrent and will stop any unwanted vehicles from gaining access to the premises. Access Control over the electric gate system can be achieved in a number of ways. The Central Statistics Office (CSO) has comprised a year-on-year list of burglaries throughout the country. To view these frightening statistics please click on the following link.
Below are a list of the types of Access Control System you can have fitted to your electric gate system:
Intercom Access:
Intercoms can be installed on any electric gate system and come as standard with every installation. An intercom placed on the peer beside the electric gates allows the visitor to contact the person inside the premises who can then open the electric gates with the simple press of a button on the intercom handset. Intercoms can come in both audio and video in wired and wireless formats.
Coded Keypad Entry:
Galway Electrician .ie / Accurate Electrical Solutions install coded entry keypads as standard on every electric gate system. We use only ACT keypads as they have proven to be the most durable and hence the most popular on the market. Coded entry keypads can have any four digit code programmed and once entered the electric gates will open immediately.
GSM Dial-To-Open:
GSM dial-to-open devices can be fitted to any existing set of electric gates or gate automation kit. The beauty of the GSM entry is that it has unlimited range unlike the Key fob remotes. It is activated by simply dialing the mobile phone number that has been assigned to your electric gate system. The GSM unit receives the incoming call and simply hangs up. Upon hanging up the unit activates a relay switch which gives an open command to your electric gate system.
Ground Loop Detection:
A ground loop detection system can also be fitted to any new or existing electric gate system. It uses a magnetic field to detect the presence of a vehicle and upon detection it can either open or close the electric gates. It is a great addition to any electric gate system as it eliminates the use of keyfobs or push buttons when exiting the premises.
Proximity Card Readers:
Proximity card readers can be used to enter any electric gate od automatic door system. The user simply swipes his/her coded card past the card reader which then activates a relay to give the electric gates an open command. As many as 300 cards can be issued to each detection unit.
Fingerprint Recognition Entry:
Sounding like something from the future fingerprint recognition entry systems are now available for all forms of automated entry. The unit can be programmed to take a code aswell as fingerprint and can log each person that has entered the premises.
